Little Company Of Mary
We are an International Catholic Congregation of Religious Women founded by Venerable Mary Potter in Hyson Green, Nottingham, England on the 2nd July 1877.
Venerable Mary Potter’s inspiration and vision is taken from the Gospel of John 19:27-29, which is the central focus of the Little Company of Mary Charism and Spirituality. It was on Calvary that Jesus gave each of us into the care of his Mother Mary, who becomes the mother of us all with the words of Jesus from the Cross “Woman behold thy son, son behold thy mother”.
This reality inspires us today, as we take on this motherly presence of praying for the sick, suffering and dying of the world and reach out in the same spirit to those in need of healing and compassion.
