IX - Jesus Falls For The Third Time

We see Jesus in his painful journey to Calvary falling three times. Here He fell before the assembled multitude. He fell and He knew that his mother heard the sound … she was near at hand. He caused his mother pain and she knew also the pain that she gave him by her lacerated heart. She may know that the weight of the Cross is too heavy as He falls in the sight of a jeering multitude. His mother may not come and raise him tenderly, washing his wounds pressing him to her breast … she may not have even this consolation.
